Canterbury Rogaine Series

Welcome to the Canterbury Rogaine Series

Orton Bradley Rogaine - Sunday 1st March

Including the official Canterbury Secondary Schools Rogaining Championships!

We're excited to bring you a new event for this year, the Orton Bradley Rogaine on Sunday 1st March. As well as a 4hr, 2hr or 1hr foot rogaine, there will also be a 6hr multi-sport option (2hr kayak + 4hr foot rogaine) including kayaking/packrafting or swimrun (supply your own kayak).

Entry is now open under the entry tab.

The Orton Bradley rogaine will also be the 2020 Canterbury Secondary Schools Rogaining Championships. Get your school mates together into a team and enter! There will be two age grades, Senior (Years 11-13) doing the 4hr event and Junior (Years 9-10) doing the 2hr event (make sure you select the correct rogaine length when entering). If you have both juniors and seniors in your team, then you must enter in the Senior age group. Rogaining allows you to choose how long you spend out there, so if you want to come back to the finish before the maximum time limit that is fine. Schools partitipants start at 11am.

School entries are open via the website for students to directly enter the schools championships, but please ensure your sport coordinator/teacher in charge knows you are doing the event. Event information has been sent out to all schools.

On the day

The start & finish will be at Orton Bradley Park (Marine Drive, Charteris Bay)

Foot rogainers will have a series of mass starts at 11:00am, 11:30am and 12:00 midday and you can choose which time to start at. There will be a briefing 10mins before each start. Schools participants will all start at 11:00am.

Multiport rogainers will have a briefing at 9:30am and start at 9:45am. You will be on the water at 10:00am and must be off the water by midday at the latest (High tide 10:23am). After finishing the water section you will transition to the foot rogaine and must be finished the rogaine by 4pm at the latest.
