On Now - Canterbury Summer Rogaine Series! Wednesday's 1 & 2Hr Afterwork Events
Update - Results out now for the Sumner Rogaine, supported by Further Faster. Congratulations to The Boss, Nick Hann for a convincing win. Next event is the Mt Somers Rogaine, 4 February www.rogaine.org.nz. Course planned by Callum Cleary. Course setters Stephanie Farrant and Theo Wordsworth.
Also - Result and route analysis up now for the Further Faster Bowenvale Rogaine (course planned by Stephanie Farrant).
A battle is shaping up for the overall title with lots of good fast teams out there. None of the top teams have fastest splits everywhere.
Next Wednesday it is Sumner, starting at the Sumnervale Reserve. See you there!
Also - Horotane results and route analysis have also been posted. See these links for all the fancy plots and routes
Anybody that has a moderate level of fitness can participate. A high level of navigation ability is not required. Teams travel at their own pace and anyone from children to grandparents can experience the personal satisfaction that comes from cross-country navigation at their own level of competition and comfort. Team members stay within earshot of each other.
The best thing about rogaining is the social aspect. Everyone starts at the same time, and generally finishes at the same time, it is just the amount of ground that has been covered by teams that differs. Rogaining can be held in city environments or in farmland and bush, and you get to visit parts of the country you never knew existed.
1 hour option available. Kids and families are welcome to come and have a fun time.
Don’t miss it, bring your friends!
